Regal Sentas was born from a simple hobby in my London studio—experimenting with scents purely for joy—that blossomed into an all-consuming passion I couldn't keep to myself. In a world obsessed with speed, I've chosen slow craftsmanship because it honours the artistry: hand-cut wax, precisely blended oils, and that irreplaceable human touch which mass production can never replicate. This deliberate pace lets me create authentic luxury, slowing my own life into moments of pure creativity and happiness that I share with those seeking a refined home sanctuary.
When a customer breaks the wax seal and opens a Regal Sentas package for the first time, what is the emotional landscape you hope they step into?
I want every recipient to feel truly special, as if they’ve been handed a personal gift from royalty itself—because Regal Sentas, derived from Old English for “royal scents,” delivers candles fit for kings and queens. Breaking the wax seal reveals a unique, hand-calligraphed thank-you note, each one penned individually so no two are ever the same, alongside minimal, modern packaging that marries tradition with elegance. This unboxing transports them into a realm of quiet sophistication and nostalgia, where complex fine fragrances evoke cherished memories or serene moments, creating happiness and a luxury home atmosphere that feels intimately theirs—not just for occasional celebrations, but every time.
The word Regal suggests a certain weight and history. How do you balance traditional inspiration with the contemporary?
Regal Sentas draws from English heritage—think regal tradition and wax-sealed letters of old—while embracing a clean, modern aesthetic in our labels, boxes, and gift bags to feel timeless yet fresh, where old meets new in artistic harmony. Our artistic candles feature complex, fine fragrances, and we are already working on our second collection, which will introduce animalistic oils to add subtle richness and depth. These act as fixatives, anchoring lighter top and heart notes while enhancing complexity with sensuality, warmth, and a primal edge that makes fragrances irresistibly magnetic. This balance ensures every piece exudes sophistication without feeling outdated, allowing me to share my passion authentically while crafting emotional storytelling.
What does a typical day in your workshop look like?
A day at my workshop is a ritual of slow crafting: melting wax to precise temperatures, blending single oils into complex, deep fragrances, mixing them, pouring at the exact moment, then curing for 48 hours before hand-cutting wicks. Then, wrapping ribbons, penning calligraphy notes, and sealing everything with molten wax.
I’ve found my passion here—this is the most beautiful business, letting me slow down, be creative and authentic while sharing beauty and happiness with others.
Creating those intricate fragrances and witnessing the final packaging come together are my favourite moments, because they transform raw artistry into a tangible, personal luxury experience that feels regal and alive.
Your brand supports Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. How does this mission to provide warmth and a second chance for animals reflect the core values you have?
My deep love for animals and nature has always guided me, and supporting Battersea Dogs & Cats Home from our very first sale feels like the natural heartbeat of Regal Sentas. I believe the secret to a rich, fulfilled life is giving—creating warmth, second chances, and happiness for those who need it most, just as our candles do through memory-evoking fragrances for quiet or special moments. This mission reflects my core values of authenticity and contribution; as we grow, we’ll expand donations to more charities, sharing the passion that’s made my life so beautifully purposeful.
